Back Up Installed Program Registry Keys?

I've done this before but now I forget how. At one time a long while ago I had 2 HDDS (or an SSD and an HDD) in a laptop. I moved all my programs over to D:\, backed up my registry entries, reinstalled Windows on C:\ and then added the keys back into the registry. What keys in particular contain all nodes of installed programs?

Before you ask why I'd want to do this, I made the huge mistake of installing Windows 10. I hate it. It's ugly, slow, and my games run like a pregnant cow, not to mention it's a disk hog and a RAM hog. I have my W7 ISO from Microsoft.com (the site where you enter a key and download the ISO) so I need to back up my registry entries because everything is on my D:\ drive right now. I have my primary disk (240GB SSD), my secondary disk (500GB HDD) and my tertiary disk (two 160GB drives in RAID0). I have most of my programs on the 500GB, and a few choice programs on C:\ like MPC-HC and WinAmp. Can anyone tell me what keys I need to export?

I don't know how to do that, but I feel like I should still tell you to stick with Windows 10 for security reasons, or go to Linux.  Windows 7 is about to stop getting security updates.  You'll have an huge number of security flaws that will never be fixed.

Windows 10 shouldn't be running slow though.  It should run at pretty much the same speed.  I don't notice any difference.  I think that's something you need to look into, instead of downgrading.

Edit: Forget the security thing, I was thinking about Windows Vista.

Windows 7 EOS is in 2020. I'll be fine until Windows 11 or whatever they decide to name it is released. My framerate in DX9 and 10 games is much lower than in W7. In Skyrim I'd be getting a solid 60 all the time but now I'm only getting 30 to 45. Fallout 4 was pretty much the same dealio.

I don't know where to begin with what is wrong with that statement. Windows 10 is rendered insecure with every update...

My mistake, I was thinking about Windows Vista.  However, I'm not expecting a new version of Windows ever, since it's become a service.

Anyway, can you give a screenshot of Task Manager (the processes) with a maximized window?

Windows will always be insecure.  That's why they have to release new patches regularly.

Bit too late for W10 screenshots with TM, I am running 7 again. Sweet old 7. Fully updated with a rollup ISO I made, then updated with Windows Update. I can honestly say that Windows 7 will always be the best Windows. I held a discussion on Redddit about why new OSs from companies are starting to go to shit. Part of it is screen estate management, which is why W8 is better than W10. Another part of it is the drab UI. Windows Vista and Windows 7 had this shiny, glasslike UI with shiny buttons and stuff. iOS before iOS 6 was the same, shiny buttons and titlebars and stuff. Android had roughly the same idea but with less shiny. Now, you look at Windows 10, iOS whatevertheyhavenowilosttrack, and Android N, it's all the same drab flat coloring. It's uninteresting and boring to look at. I mean look at my desktop compared to the W10 desktop.

Use Produkey to get the Windows 10 key in your BIOS.  You'll want it if you ever decide to upgrade.  It's so strange that everything was running slower for you.  Games should run faster in Windows 10.

I have W7 Pro ISO, I have purchased a key from Microsoft separately. The OS itself is free but the license to use it is what costs money. I don't have a key in my BIOS, this system is old AF, it was manufactured in 2009 (datestamp on the chassis).
