Smallest would be 14 and those are way out of your budget

New Alienware 13 is currently on sale for $1399 (Normal price $1669) http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/alienware-13-laptop

I would pay the extra 25 for the wireless card upgrade. And then when your recievce it buy another 8gb of ram and a 1-2 TB HDD and you would be under $1500 and have a much better machine

Do you think the OLED display is worth the extra $250?

No it's 13in not 27in and if you do get it you will have to deal with scaling in Windows which is horrible

Yeah I figured as much. I didn't think there'd be much of a difference since it was 13"

Spend the 250 upgradeing ram yourself or by Dell to 16gb, upgrading the wireless card for some extra speed if you plan on using a a wireless network. And upgrading your storage either with a harddrive or SSD to give you storage for your games. Also possibly consider upgrading to Windows 10 pro  if you need the extra features

Wait what. No OLED is nice. 1440p is fine on 13in. It's not 4k.

It's a waste of money it's a 1060 not a 1070. The money is much better spent elsewhere in the machine

I don't think the $250 is worth it unless it's a 1070

The OLED display on the AW 13 is one of the nicest displays on the entire market.  If you like eye candy and don't mind some windows scaling it's awesome.

The MSI GS43VR is the main other option at 14".

15" The Clevo P650HP6 is the best value option under 1500 with a 1060.

Clevo's are so so you never really know what you are getting. And Windows scaling is abysmal, so most games you will have to downlscale to 1080p to get to work and be payable also it's a 1060 not  1070 so 1440p is not the ideal resolution, to get decent frame rates. So the there is not really a reason to get the 1440p screen besides if you are editing or are only consuming media.

Yes. Basically. It's still a treat to look at. I can use 1440p unscaled on a 15in screen. I feel like I could use it on a 13in screen. For thats personal. You literally pay for the insane blacks. It's actually just to look at LOL. It impacts your day to day usage. I tried out the X1 Yoga OLED and I just liked using the machine cause it was noticeably better than other screens.

MSI 14.0" GS43VR PHANTOM PRO-06, GIGABYTE 15.6" P55Wv6-NE2, or the Alienware 13 are the 3 best bang for your buck
