Windows 10 dilemma

Frode

So im looking to buy a copy off windows 10, for my new machine. Im at keys at Kinguin.net. I wonder what the difference between the keys, like oem and retail. From my understanding, the difference is that you can not get any help from Microsoft, if anything should go wrong. But i wonder, if you really CAN´T get any help from Microsoft, unless they ask for an key in return. Do i need a retail key or should i go for an oem key?

Retail generally means you can replace your mobo with less hassle, OEM means if you change the mobo you'll be needing a new key

Do you believe i should get a oem key then? An oem key is approximately 30 bucks, and a retail key from like amazon is over 100 us dollars? I mean if my motherboard went bad, i would just get a new key for under what i paid for the retail key?

Well, you can run win 10 apparently indefinitely without a key, doesn't affect performance or anything just puts a watermark in the bottom right corner (my mom's computer has run win 10 for 6 months without a key), I suggest you fully test the board and do that, once you know the board doesn't have some issue you could do the oem key if you want to get rid of the watermark
