Require External Device For Windows 10 Wifi?

I just built my new PC and got everything setup, however I've run into 2 issues, 1 (for another thread), I can't find where to prioritise my HDD (I can't even see it being detected where the ssd is) and 2 I don't know how to connect to wifi.

Windows 10 64bit

I have gone into network settings ect and the only message I'm finding is that nothing was detected.

(there is no wifi logo at the bottom of my screen either, have never used windows though so I'm not sure what I'm talking about tbh)

Thanks for any help!

You need Wi-Fi adapter. Either pcie or usb. Tha mobo does not have wifi on board iirc

Thanks for your help mate! So will the adapter (I'd rather usb as would hate to ruin the looks of my beautiful PC (sorry, its pretty shit but i just built it :D) enable wifi settings as soon as I plug it in (with restarts ect lol) ?

There's some pretty nice looking PCIe WiFi cards out there. The cheap ones kinda ruin it but some of the newer ones really do add to aesthetics.

Some cards will work out of the box, some will need drivers installed first. However all do come with a disc for basic drivers so you don't need internet access to install the card's drivers (though it is advised to update them to the latest version once you get online).

You'll need to install drivers and may need to install their software but otherwise it should be good.

So it's as easy as installing software ?

I don't have a disc drive... I wouldn't even know where they belong on my PC..... Is this an issue? My budget atm is set to $80 :3 (all i have)

Oh. Well there's really no knowing with a newer card until you try. It may or may not work out of the box. In my experience it's been more the former than latter. If you have an Android phone you could always download the driver on there and then transfer it over to your PC.

Here's a decently priced good looking PCIe card. Would go pretty nicely with the black and red theme of your board.

Intel makes some nice Wi-Fi cards... This is a tiny PCI-E card which will be better than any USB based solution you can get.

You need msata port. And it also connects to an antenna or smt. I have it. (same type but from Asus). The problem is the screws are too small to screw in lol.
