Can i run battlefield 1 on a i5 6400k? Is the i5 6600k truly the limit???

Well considering the 6400k doesnt exist, you probably won't be able to play it.

 

Jokes aside (assuming you're talking about the i5 6400) You'll be able to play it, yes.

I ran BF1 during the beta on an i3 4170, wasn't a great experience but it wasn't exactly bad either

It's fine, the GPU will probably be the bottleneck anyway, what graphics card do you have?

I don't know what changed but it was laggy last night. Cpu was riding 100%. Thought I fixed it but I think it's the game this time. On a 4790k on 1440.

I'm on 1440p with sli 980tis both at 99 percent usage and CPU not broke 60 percent at 64 multiplayer 

so not sure what ur doing

Well it would normally sit at 90-95 and would work. Same with my 3770k. Just crappy cpu's I assume.

Until I see otherwise with proof, I'll assume all CPU will run high on this game. If you are on the ultra preset and gpu usage is at 100% then I'll believe it.

Anyone. As I've seen countless threads about it. People say they have "no" issues but not everyone  rates problems the same. 

 

The bf1 servers are screwed right now anyway. But I don't have the head room to record or stream with usage like this. Regardless of the CPU, gpu, or monitor used. So as it stands, it's not enough.

I don't use it much, unless drivers have somehow been tweaked. The gtx 1080 rig is on windows 7 so idk. The titan rig has less cpu usage wile in dx12 but so does the gpu. But that rig doesnt have issues like the other. I can game all day and only touch 100% on the cpu while in kill cam or stuff like that. Frame time stays low too unlike the other rig recently.
