No. What happened with Skylake was an accident - a glitch - and Intel locked it down as soon as it began to get noticed. In fact, that makes it less likely for there to be a similar accident in the future, since Intel is going to be more careful.

Wait for Zen for cheap overclockable chips.

I wouldn't exactly bet on everything being easily overclockable.

There's a reason why everyone locked down their processors.

Understandable, but that was a huge draw factor when it came to AMD's older FX CPUs. Furthermore, I don't mean dirt-cheap; I mean an overclockable quad core cheap enough to give the 6600k/7600k a run for its money.

Well, the FX lineup needed that in order to compete on anything that wasn't highly multi-threaded.

And we don't even know what Ryzen's capable of yet in the real world. Everything up until now is just marketing fluff to generate hype.

I really want to wait for zen but i'm inexperience and lack of information about their previous generation of processors. do you think it's worth it to wait for zen?  don't want to be dissapointed at the end, my country sucks on pricing stuffs. and might encounter a zen chip almost has the same price as kaby.
