Civ 5 Crashed AMD Driver?

I was playing Civ 5 earlier and the bloody AMD driver crashed 3 times!!!

For reference; Catalyst 13.9 Driver version: 9.14.10.0984 Windows 8.1 64 bit Professional

 

 

Has anybody else had this problem? I used to have this problem with Dirt 3, but it has since been fixed.

I fear that that is the issue as well. You would think a driver for Windows 8.1 would WORK

If you're using GPU decode in the graphics settings. Try disabling it (for now until better Windows 8.1 drivers come out).

I just did that, and some weird pixel issue occured

It might be a conflict with AMD drivers and Windows 8.1.

I am sorry to bump this topic, but if anybody else is having this same issue, I just fixed it by downloading the 13.11 drivers

Windows 8 had problems with driver support from the start and even up until now... WHY WOULD YOU THINK 8.1 WOULD WORK?!

At what point did you think "Well Windows 8.1 must fix all the terrible problems and complete and utter lack of driver support that Windows 8 have"?

 

I wouldn't expect driver support for at least a few more months so things finally become stable.

I downloaded the 13.11 Beta driver and that works just fine now
