I was playing Civ 5 earlier and the bloody AMD driver crashed 3 times!!!

For reference; Catalyst 13.9 Driver version: 9.14.10.0984 Windows 8.1 64 bit Professional

Has anybody else had this problem? I used to have this problem with Dirt 3, but it has since been fixed.

I'd assume the issue lies with 8.1.

If you're using GPU decode in the graphics settings. Try disabling it (for now until better Windows 8.1 drivers come out).

It might be a conflict with AMD drivers and Windows 8.1.

Because, I didn't think Microsoft had their heads up their arses

At what point did you think "Well Windows 8.1 must fix all the terrible problems and complete and utter lack of driver support that Windows 8 have"?

xD I wouldn't expect driver support for at least a few more months so things finally become stable.

I downloaded the 13.11 Beta driver and that works just fine now :D
