I recently purchased a gtx 1050 to sc edition and it's been a nightmare, I really enjoy playing csgo but 100 fps isn't going to cut it I really need to talk to a professional about this because I'm at a loss of what to do. If there is any possible way for a Skype and or email please direct message me this is extremely frustrating even talking to evga didn't help. You need drivers and a CPU to support the GPU (1050 isn't powerful tho)

make sure you uninstalled old video drivers and then install the new drives for your card.

1 how do I uninstall the old drivers 2 my specs 

AmD 6300 unlocked 6 core

8gb of g skill ram

GTX 1050 ti

and my old gpu was a nvidia gt 440

Download DDU( Display Driver Uninstaller ) and uninstall the current driver in "safe mode", then reinstall the latest driver from the Nvidia site. Also use some monitoring programs to make sure your PC isn't throttling.

I installed the drivers after uninstalling the old ones still no change

Where did you get the drivers? 

Try using GeForce Experience to install them

 

It's also possible (but very unlikely) that you just got a lemon card

@Parkerlydic04 What resolution are you running at ? And how many herz is your screen ?

From what i have seen is 1080p it can drop to high 90's low 100's when out in the open or scoping/getting killed but average is jumping around between 120's / 150's when inside. [with an fx 6300]

That is with all forms of AA off ofcourse.

I'd suggest upgrading the cpu to a i5 or hope overclocking the CPU will get you where you want to be.

in game I play 1280 x920 4:3 but the herz of my monitor is 60 I believe

60 fps doesn't cut it and neither does 100. I play with around 300 fps. When things start really moving you dont want it to dive below that. Regardless, that doesn't help him.

Make sure your in game settings aren't capping your FPS too.

It's csgo = source engine. You need at least 200 frames for it to be smooth. Google it.
