Hi,

I'm having some trouble with the Sound Mixer, as stated in the title. Here's the background: I use Razer Comms to talk with my friends when we play Overwatch. Works nicely for us. But now another friend has joined and his mic is just too quiet, I've maxed him out on Comms he has maxed out Mic Boost and everything as well. So I though, easy fix: increase the volume of Comms all together in the Windows Sound Mixer and then just reduce the volume of my other friends. Well instead, Windows also increases the volume of Overwatch when adjusting the slider for Comms, basically it increases the volume of everything instead of only Comms. Am I just using the mixer incorrectly or is it bugged?

thanks in advance and cheers

Drag the Razer Comms slider to where you want it to be and lower the volume sliders for all other applications (yes, you'll have to adjust them individually)

Either do what @evilarceus suggested above, or don't use Razer Comms or Skype - both have caused me nothing but trouble when it comes to volume leveling, and are now the reason I switched over to Discord Chat. TeamSpeak is nice as well, but it's interface leaves something to be desired.

Did just that, I set everything to the same level except for Comms which I set to a higher Volume. Overwatch still becomes louder... anyways, thanks

I was considering switching to Discord before... Is there enough manual control over individual mic volumes to compensate for really quiet mics?

You can adjust individual users from 0% to 200%, with 100% being the normal volume.

No idea how well it'll boost each persons' Mic on Windows though, since Windows has a mind of its own...
