Construction knowledge needed?

So interesting question on how to achieve my goal.

I have a small bedroom and sit on my bed to use my PC. This is very uncomfortable when compared to using a chair.

So I want to essentially raise the height of my double bed in order to put a desk underneath it and be able to sit on a chair. Can anybody think of the best way to achieve this?

Hang it from the ceiling perhaps? However it will have to support a 150lb guy and hopefully a 120lb girl every now and then ;)

Any ideas?

Can you permanently raise it or will it need to be changed back to the original height at some point?

Nope I am fine with permanently raising it from the ground

Make a timber frame and nail it to the studs in the wall, bolt on 2x4 for posts. Add some slats on rails attached to the inside of the frame and throw your mattress on that.

like this: except you don't need the ladder or rail on the wall side.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

That is exactly what I am after. So where the mattress is in that picture, my desk would go. Then my mattress would sit nicely on the top.
