I consider to buy two msi 7970 Lightnings. Or would it better to buy two gtx 770?

I know about gsync and shield... but at the moment i don´t care about these things. I will never use shield and until gsync will be there for a reasonable prize i maybe anyway will consider to buy new cards and sell the "old" ones ( i don´t expect this to come before a year or more).

Or would it better to buy one 780 and save the rest of the money of a 2nd card? (the 290x works under too high temps for my taste.

Any advices?

Two HD7970 or GTX 770s will destroy a GTX 780 by a long shot. nVidia also has Shadowplay now.

7970 put a water block on it oc it like crazy like TTL at 1600 Mhz on the core. My 7950 is on 1200/1600 i benched it and its faster than a 680/770.

Personally I find all the extras Nvidia brings to the table crushing compared to AMD (don't give a shit about Mantle) so personally I would say SLI 770 :) Get two of the ASUS DCU2 ones and you are good to go :)
