Networked PC Slow Speeds

Hey,

 

I have a second PC in a separate room connected by Homeplug (rated at a 600mbit connection with Cat 6 cabling either end)

 

I use this for my plex media storage as the drives are annoyingly loud. The drives are mapped to my main PC but speeds are inconsistent.

 

Sometimes my torrent program (tried uTorrent and Deluge, now using qTorrent) but all have the same issue.

 

Downloads to my main PC are up to 25mbyte/s on my 220mbit connection. But downloads which are saving to the networked drives don't go over 1.6mbytes/s.

 

Anyone had any similar issues? The drives in the media PC were all working ok when they were in my main rig.
