Help finding a non-gaming laptop?

My requirements...

i7 6th gen or 7th

At least 1 M.2 SSD (Raid would be awesome too)

Lowest GPU possible, or none. (No games. At all. I don't want to pay for a 1060 that I will never use)

Any recommendations?

i7 4771 | Cooler Master Hyper 212X | Dom Plat 32GB

Zotac 1080FE | 950 Pro M.2 256GB

(2) 850 Pro 256GB RAID 0 | WD Black 2TB

Is the CPU a duo-core or a quad-core?

I generally go business laptops or a Razer Blade. The HP EliteBook 1040 is pretty good.

I don't trust HP at all, and the reviews for the elitebook support that claim.

Lenovo, Dell and HPs have had their ups and downs in the business laptop area.  It's like when one excels there other drops.  In general I've had better experiences with them over consumer notebooks.  The HP EliteBook 840 G1 I'm using isn't so great but the reviews internally on the 1040 is pretty good.  Where I work we have all brands as standards (Dell, Lenovo, HP, Asus, Toshiba, and of course Surface and Surface Books).

I appreciate the insight.
I think I am liking that Dell XPS 15 touch the most as of right now.

Best laptop with no dGPU at all would be the E5470. Dell Outlet or Ebay Refurb. It costs less than a grand. And if you need less storage or ram it gets even cheaper. If you don't need 8 threads and just want a quad core you can get an i5 option that makes it even cheaper LOL.

You said you didn't want a dGPU.

I'd suggest ThinkPads, but I'm not aware of one with a 6th-gen i7 quad-core and no dGPU.

Those variants have an i5, so no hyperthreading.

Well, hence my E5470 is still number 1 recommendation. I do believe it's one of the few 6820HQs without a dGPU.

Well, since I've never used the E5470, I'm not really qualified to recommend for or against it.

I really do wish Lenovo had a ThinkPad with a current generation quad-core i7 and no dGPU, though. That would be amazing ;-;.
