Good desktop speakers?

Hello, so I just got an American Express gift card and I was thinking about buying some speakers for my computer to replace the ones in my monitor. 

 

Any ideas as to what some of the best desktop speakers are for under $150?

well its a desktop, so stereo is what I'm aiming for. But it does not really matter.

I've used these before I purchased the 5.1 version. They sounded very good to me (not an audiophile) and come with a subwoofer that packs good bass for action and horror games.

I have the Logitech Z313 2.1 though the subwoofer is an off-brand. they're pretty good and can fill the room pretty well without much distortion. but for absolute clarity i tend to go with my headphones

The logitech z313 is monstrous. The z623 is monstrous, too, but can be made passable with EQ. Kind of sad for the money, though.

 

I recommend the Micca PB42x, as always. Make sure you have the space for them.
