anyone with an once of common sense wouldn't break it as you leak test with the power off.

seeing as its 100 bucks cheaper then I would go custom though I would not expect the pump to be that great so probably wouldn't be able to expand it without upgrading the pump.

Do you know what brand the custom water cooling stuff was? With custom water cooling you will want to go big with a reputable brand, otherwise you'd be better off going with an AiO. It's also not a great idea to have a custom loop unless you're prepared to do all the work yourself since some level of maintenance is mandatory, be it changing out blocks or just flushing the loop.

CPU - Ryzen Threadripper 2950X | Motherboard - X399 GAMING PRO CARBON AC | RAM - G.Skill Trident Z RGB 4x8GB DDR4-3200 14-13-13-21 | GPU - Aorus GTX 1080 Ti Waterforce WB Xtreme Edition | Case - Inwin 909 (Silver) | Storage - Samsung 950 Pro 500GB, Samsung 970 Evo 500GB, Samsung 840 Evo 500GB, HGST DeskStar 6TB, WD Black 2TB | PSU - Corsair AX1600i | Display - DELL ULTRASHARP U3415W |

I didnt say that he cant get the custom kit, I merely said that most people may struggle with their first time custom water cooling. if he still wants to get it, its his decision. personally I would go for the AIO but thats just me

I'd go with AIO any day of the week.

Not only is AIO cheaper initially, there's no stupid maintenance that needs to be done every now and then (and the potential mess)
Risk of leak aint that bad if you're careful and don't cut corners.

One thing that Customer has though is that it looks BADASS.

So whatever is more important to you, slightly higher temps + much much cheaper + less hassle
OR
Looks badass and bit better temps.
