You shouldnt need to remove them unless they are placed wrongly behind the motherboard

@Jayjohal02 If they are not in the way of anything, you can leave them where they are.

Poorly worded awsner from me xD

If he has anything less than a ATX board does he really need to remove them?

Yeh there is one in the way of the mobo I need to sort that out then

Could you tell me what case and board you have? I'll try to see if I can find the ones  that may need removing.

There shouldn't be, really. Unless the board uses a non-standard form factor (or the case does)

I have found the ones I need to remove but there is a standoff above a standoff that isn't needed but is on the case my mobo is gigabyte h110m-s2h

If there is not a hole in your motherboard that lines with a standoff, remove the standoff. It could short out our motherboard.

Make sure all the holes are screwed into a standoff.

Sometimes you need to move one micro atx standoff a little lower, was that what needed to happen?

@Jayjohal02 I found your case. Could you circle the standoff which is giving you problems? :)

@Jayjohal02 You will probably need to move that standoff and place it a little lower. I had to do the exact same thing with a $200 build with a msi h110m pro-vd plus motherboard

I was wrong, don't listen to me

Doesn't really seem like there's a problem, though. The motherboard's 2nd row's (PCI-Express row) standoff are parallel and the standoffs in the case seem to be a perfect fit. But I dunno how OP is having a problem... :(

Yeah I had to look at the motherboard again. You are correct. Some of them have all the holes horizontally parallel, like this one looks like it is. Then, the micro atx board I built with I had to do what I highlighted.

No, It doesn't look like you need to move any of the standoffs xD Sorry. Just look at the picture of your motherboard I sent with the 6 cirlces and see if there is a standoff where the circles are

On a itx iv only had to move the right hand side screws and the bottom screws. Not the one you circled. If you are a paranoid schizophrenic the extra standoffs were placed there by the government

Ok so just to clarify it is ok if there is a standoff underneath the mobo
