Dark Rock Pro 3 overhangs memory slots. Use Vengeance LPX memory modules. Given the case, did you consider using an AIO cpu cooler instead. Makes for a better looking system.

I think thats the ram I'm going for to avoid issues, and I really like the way this cooler looks and the performance is on par with AIOs.

That'll be kinda around where you're at. Don't read too far into the merchant prices. I only buy online from Amazon or Newegg. Although, if that's you teeing off at Top Golf in H town, you'd better visit the Micro Center in Houston first. It's pretty much the best computer store in Texas. There you could find deals better than anything on the internet.

For a first time builder, all you really need is a magnetic screwdriver and your motherboard manual for a few minutes. Take your time and enjoy it. Make sure you spend an hour or so setting all the windows settings how you like and downloading all the basics off of ninite.com. Don't download python off of ninite, they have version 2.7, you should be working with v3.5. If you're going to be programming, with python, or really any language just download them from their respected websites and there are plenty of web-based compilers out there. If you're starting programming from no where, hit up freecodecamp.com or codeacademy.com and start learning the basics for free.

All in all, enjoy the build. If you get stuck, YouYube, Google and LinusTechTips is your best friends. Good luck, you're now forever addicted :1
