My Favourite plane by far, just edges out the P-39 Lightning. Also I love how they tried sticking big and bigger engine on the SR-72 to make it go faster, and how they got all that Titanium out of the USSR.

I am not sure exactly why they are considering this.  The technology is amazing, but the SR-71 fit a specific niche that I don't believe we have anymore.  Drones and satellites have more capability for constant surveillance than manned aircraft.  The speed is amazing, but I don't know how necessary it is.

Oh thats in the UK, sorry I thought it was the practically identical hangar museum in the US. The Udvar Hazy museum.

Haha no problem, there isn't much they can do to distinguish hangars from each other :P  They're all really cool though, unfortunately the museum near me doesn't have anything like the Discovery space shuttle at Udvar.
