GTX1070, which resolution?

  1. 1. With a GTX 1070 at what resolution would have a better gaming experirence (CSGO,GTA V, Skyrim and stuff like that)

Hi guys! My friend has just bought a new GTX 1070 (MSI Gaming X version) and now he want to upgrade his old monitor. So now we don't know if it woukd better to get a monitor at 1440p@144Hz or a 1080p@144Hz. Do you think that with a GTX1070 he will stay above 60 FPS at 1440p with all maximum with the most of the games for a quite time, or it would be better decision to rake a 1080p@144Hz sp he will be secureto have high fps for good time like 3/4 years? Thanks for your help.

P.S. He plays CSGO, GTA V, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Overwatch, Tomb Raider and stuff like that. :)
