first time pc builder lost in tech

so this is probally not the first post about some guy wanting to know what to get to build there pc, but no matter how many video's i watch or how many guides i look up i still don't really know what i should get.
my budget is in between 1500-2000 euros. I game on a daily basis and i'm heavy on photo/film editing.

currently i'm looking at these items:

intel core i5-6600K/intel core i7-6800k processor
ASUS MAXIMUS VIII HERO motherboard

G.Skill 16GB DDR4-2400

MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G V330-001R

EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 power supply

Samsung EVO 850 MZ-75E120B/EU Internal SSD, 6,4 cm (2,5 inch), SATA III (250GB)

Seagate BarraCuda 2 TB

i'm trying to keep a black/red theme going.
so are these items compatible and would this be a good option?

thanks in advance

Everything is good, however I can make it better, what's your budget and where do you live?

If you'd go with the 6800k you'll need to switch motherboard as 6800k uses a 2011-3 socket, where the current mobo listed uses the 1151 socket (will work for the 6600k). Just a heads up :)

What are you plans for CPU cooling?

I'm not that familiar with photo/video editing but I can imagine 32 GB RAM being more beneficial for these tasks - any thoughts on this? What softwares are you dealing with?

Gaming-wise it's a very solid build. Though I'd probably get a bigger SSD, but that's just me.

Asus X99-A w/ BIOS 3402 | Intel i7 5820k OC @4.4GHz 1.28V w/ Noctua NH-U14S | 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 OC @2666MHz 12-14-14-28 | Asus Geforce GTX970 STRIX OC | EVGA 750 G2 750W | Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB | Windows 10 64-bit | Be-Quiet Silent Base 800 w/ Silent Wings | 2x Dell U2414H OC @72Hz w/ Display Port

Don't forget to invest in an Intel Tuning Plan if you're going to overvolt your K/X CPU

A cheaper mobo, and EVGA G2 instead.

If you change the h100i to a Dark Rock Pro 3 they would perform the same and it would be basically if you prefer air or water. Didn't know if I would be able to fit the pro in mine. Forgot to change after

It's down to cooling vs silence, just thought I'd add a watercooling version since the OP was interested in it :) You also have the Noctua coolers for aircooling, though they wouldn't go as well with your black/red theme, but they're OP for aircooling imo.

Mhm I prefer bequiets though as they look much better and are almost as good as them (like 1-2c)

I assume this is a bit over the budget, however the extra RAM will benefit you because of the loading times.

If you're doing this as a job, loading times matter a lot, so this will give you the fastest loading times.

Thing is, the cores and RAM are faster, the power supply is more efficient, SSD is fast and WD Black has extremely good speeds.
