open explorer.exe, right click Computer, manage, Storage Management and I think you have to assign your hard drive to D: drive or whatever there. I can't remember exactly what to do there, but you had to do something there to get it working.

if there are just files on it it should just show up but i had a problem where it didnt when i got my new SSD, what fixed that was hitting restart in windows, not turning it off and on again, the restart button in windows. not sure why just that solved it but it did so try that if your drive isnt showing up

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Open administrative tools (search for it using search bar), there run Windows Memory Diagnoatics; let it restart the PC and do its thing.

This fixes the bug with hard drives not showing up.

The drive needs to be plugfed in, of course.

Stupid question, are you sure it's correctly plugged in? Sata cable from hard drive to motherboard and Sata power from PSU to hard drive? And does it show up in your BIOS/UEFI?
