Hey Forms,

Recently i went out and bought a GTX 1070 Founders Edition, Upgrading from a GTX 750ti.

Overall i have noticed an improvement, but i still struggle with dropped frames/stuttering in games like BF1 (Hover around 45-50 FPS on medium)

I was wondering if that could be because of my CPU (AMD A10 7700k), or my motherboard, (MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard)

Or possibly thermal throttling? Really not sure.
Any advice would be helpful, Thanks alot!

How many GB of RAM do you have? BF1 likes to use 10GB for itself.

Would that be possible with my motherboard?

Any example CPU's that would be compatible?

Thanks

Beck

Hi, your motherboard will need to be swapped out. The recommended CPU for a GTX 1070 is an I5 6600 or 6600k. You will also need new RAM (DDR4). Speed doesn't matter, but 16 GB is preferred

Intel cpu will require different motherboard than yours. Your motherboard has no upgrade path so yeah you can't upgrade your cpu

Is there anywhere to get an i5+motherboard combo that wouldn't be over 200$? or is that not possible.
