Dell, HP or Lenovo for a laptop? (800-900 laptop)

Hello again LTT, so i made this topic looking for a laptop to "replace" my current desktop

But i decided to upgrade my CPU to a newer platform for DDR4 and the new features. I would keep my gpu (for a bit more), psu and case. But in the meantime i'm deciding to get a laptop for school and some gaming on my free time. For that i settle my budget around the $800-$900(no more). What i'm looking is something with good battery life, not to heavy to carry around on my backpack, great durability in terms of construction (this is important) and a 15" monitor. As for the gpu i'm fine on something like a GTX960M or GTX965M i dont plan on game a lot, just a little bit.

This options i'm considering right now of what i'm looking is:

1. Lenovo Y700

2. Dell 7559

3. HP Omen 15

Which of those options would be better to choose?

If are there any other options i could consider around that price i would appreciate it :)

Thanks for reading!

If you want a laptop mainly for working purposes, I recommend you the $999 Razer Blade Stealth. It's just 100 bucks more than your budget. So saving some money, and buying it a bit later would be a perfect choice.

I do plan on gaming a little bit that's why i decided to go for a dGPU, the razer blade stealth looks good but it's a little pricey for the i7 version :S

I currently play Rocket League, CS:GO, Source games and Dirt 3 at the moment. But i would like to play most games like Battlefield or Doom for example and i don't mind on lowering some settings or resolution to play some demanding ones.

i like the lenovo brand they make solid laptops. i dont know why ibm sold them. laptop CPUs really do not compare to desktop but i think some brands like Razor do put desktop CPU in laptops with a huge sacrifice for power consumption.

So, at the moment is Dell or Lenovo. Any diference in between batery life and construction quality? Also is it any difference in DDR3L and DDR4 in my situation?

Y700 better everything but more pricey (hence the money went into better speakers, screen, construction, trackpad etc.)

7559 better battery life

Also, you might want to wait a bit. 1050 is coming to the budget scene VERY soon. Probably after CES.

LOL wtf. I'm talking about retail prices. Weird shit happens to prices of products near the end of their lifespan.

Batter life is about 6 hours:

Alright, so in that case my choice would be the Lenovo laptop :)

I think I'd go with either the Lenovo or HP laptop. Dell's computers are extremely inconsistent in terms of quality, especially when it comes to their Inspiron line. I wouldn't gamble on something from Dell unless you're getting one for very cheap.

I haven't heard much about the HP computer so I can't say much about that one, but I think the Lenovo model would serve you well.

EDIT: I looked for the HP Omen website and it didn't had the GTX965M model available. :(

Does the GTX965M is better that the 960M? Because what i can do is look for a used laptop with a i7 6700HQ and a GTX 965M or if i'm lucky GTX970M.
