Properly installed the El Capitan installer to thumbdrive. Booted onto it on iMac. Went to Disk Utility, erased the internal HDD, and set it as "OSX" Jounral Extended GUID. Went back, clicked install OSX. Wen't through the installer. It says "Installing OSX El Capitan. At one minutes remaining, the log shows "tSplicedFont failed creating Descriptor" Forever. What do I do?

Try El Admiral, should be better then El Capitan.

Can't find any info on it. Also don't have internet to download another OS.

I think he was joking regarding El Admiral.  Sierra is the latest Mac OS.

GO to the Partition Tab and select your partition size and again, you'll select Journaled Extended.  and verify the Partition scheme is still GUID Patition Table
