Noctua-Themed Build

Challenge Accepted.

Alright, too lazy to photoshop sleeved cables in but you can probably guess how they'd look.

Parts that matter:

Motherboard: Z170 Krait Gaming

RAM: Trident Z

GPU heatsink: MK-26

Cooler: NH-U12S

Case: S340

Figure: Good Smile Sen-ti-nel Brave-Act Levi Action Figure

Paint on motherboard, ram, cooler top fin, figurine base, case

Edit: Now I wish I had a reason to actually build this.

I'm late and it's early, what's happening?

I've always been intrigued by the concept of a Noctua-themed build. I decided to put out a challenge to the members of this forum (the five of you in particular) to put together such a build.

The catch was that you had to stick with off-the-shelf components, avoiding heavy customization and custom watercooling loops, sticking with what was available on PCPartPicker, or other websites where you could provide purchasing links. That's how @Energycore and I went about incorporating brown-and-white aftermarket cables from CableMod.

We've all had subtly different approaches to the build. @deXxterlab97 went for a more rust-coloured theme, @Energycore went for a white build with the Noctua colours being the only removal from that, and I went with a black build to the same effect, using a top-facing cooler to show off the fan a little more. @WoodenMarker went a step further and photo shopped case and motherboard modifications into his/her concept. Although painting and component modification were something I was initially opposed to because of the goal of making these builds accessible to mainstream builders, I can't say I don't dig it.

In short; go for it!

Only one Noctua fan but you can't really add more to the case without it looking stupid. I think beige + white looks quite nice.

Also I would like to steal @Energycore's custom cables.

Good job! I don't dig the chrome of the Dominator Platinum DIMMs, but it's a cool idea, and that case is gorgeous. @Energycore went for a similar colour scheme of white with Noctua colours being the only ones.

Does the Snow Silent PSU come with white cables?

Yeah, I was split between those and some other RAM. I decided on those because they were taller. I think I was looking at some silver/grey ballistix RAM earlier, not 100% sure. You could absolutely go for those as well.

EDIT: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/x6DzK8/crucial-ballistix-sport-lt-64gb-4-x-16gb-ddr4-2400-memory-bls4k16g4d240fsb these are the other modules I was looking at. Do you think I should add them to the list @Aereldor?
