1080p vs 1440p, is it worth the upgrade?

Legolessed

When i upgraded from 720p to 1080p everything felt super crisp and eeything looked amazing. Would i get a similar feeling if i upgraded from 1080p to a 1440p ultrawide? is it worth the insane cost of an ultrawide? or should i go for a cheaper 1080p ultrawide?

I'd say go for it. I would consider getting a 75 or 100hz monitor if you can afford them as well.

I'm planning to get an X34 Ultrawide, because the resolution and the size is a step above what I'm currently using. (24" Samsung SyncMaster 1080p)

From the Depths, no idea.

Minecraft, not likely.

For me, 1080 was a good upgrade over triple 720 but once I got the triple setup going it was much better. I'm advocating for ultrawide. The resolution is up to you.

1440 is a noticeable improvement over 1080, but the improvement of the ultrawide is better since many games support the resolution without issue. If you'd consider a 1080 ultrawide, go for one that high refresh to use alongside your current monitor.

720p - 921600 pixels

1080p - 2073600 pixels

1440p - 3686400 pixels

it's a big difference

but, going from 720p to 1080p is more than double, less going from 1080p to 1440p

Try and get an LG 1440p ultrawide if you can afford it. You'll regret not going ultrawide and you will never go back to 16:9 when you get a 21:9

Do you really think a $100 4k monitor by an unknown manufacturer is going to be any good? I sure as hell don't.
