Is this safe?

Is it safe to clean my g910 keys by sticking then in soapy water and then letting them dry? And also to clean underneath the keys would you guys recommend compressed air or a vacuum? Also how would I go about cleaning the actual keyboard itself?

You can take the keys off and clean them in warm soapy water without any problem, for the keyboard itself compressed air or a brush to clean it off would be best.

Alright, thanks cause it's extremely dirty underneath the keys, I think I set a record.

That going to be a bit more work since the keys are recessed, you can take a brush and clean out the bulk of it and use some compressed air or take it apart further to get at the PCB with the keys on it to really deep clean it.

And I'm starting to think it may be better to use a vacuum to clean underneath the keys. Look at all the dog hair

For that you can use some diluted isopropyl alcohol as long as it's not a soft touch rubber or a bit of Windex to wipe everything down.

Alright thanks and sorry to bother you one more time but I know vacuuming a PC could cause static build up that wouldn't matter/apply with a keyboard right?

Yes that is true, usually it is best to not use a vacuum since it can potentially cause static which is why compressed air is recommended or using something like an ESD safe brush.
