SATA SSD versus PCI-E SSD for Boot Drive: Worthy Upgrade?

sgloux3470

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using a PCI-E or M.2 SSD as a boot drive and how it performs compared to a traditional SATA SSD.  Does it make an appreciable difference in how your operating system functions?  Or is it the sort of thing that doesn't compare to the leap from HDD to SSD for windows?

I only upgraded to the Samsung Evo 850 1TB M.2 drive cause it was crazy cheap.  And yes i do see a difference in boot times and game loading
