Coil gun project help

So I want to build a coil gun for a fun little project. The problem is i don't really know how. I was imagining something to the resemblance of a sniper, i know the basic materials, and have some of them just don't really know how to wire any of it.

sounds illegal to me, i don't think the 2nd amendment covers coil guns

we're canadian, it's illegal to own bearspray or pepper spray - plus, the nsa has probably already tagged all of us for using the keywords gun, illegal and 2nd amendment

Yea good point but again they need to catch you to sentence you and privacy laws (at least for now) protect us from random search and seizure so as long as you keep your research/toys a secret it's all good
