Its a great cooler, it comes with a ton of crap which to be honest you dont need, mouse pads, adapters as if they are going out of style. Its up there was being one of the best cooler for the pitcairn range.

there's not much headroom for OC'ing on that left then. my 7870 gets to 1270 before it's unstable (at 60 degrees mind you, so it's not like it's temps)

to get a chip that high they most likely are binning the chips very carefully. plus now that AB lets you mess with voltages and force past oc limits you may be able to see something much higher.

You could get lucky like me and my card which is jesus in overclocking, i got my 7870 xt to 1400mhz. It got to 80oc and its quite a laugh, i nomrally leave it at 1000mhz just in case i break something by leaving it on an extreme clock.

How does that cooler compare to MSI's Twin Frozr and Asus's directCU coolers?

This is pretty cool that they give you a mouse pad. But it isn't as good in cooling as the TF in the 7870: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Powercolor/HD_7870_Devil/30.html Wonder how loud this cooler is.

Its unusual with a fan design like this, the bigger the case the better then cooler is, its gets a bigger benefit from big cases then a dual fan card but gets worse temps in smaller areas
