Overclocking my cpu to resolve bottleneck??

Go to solution Solved by Belgarathian,

Sounds like:

  1. Something is overheating
  2. Graphics glitch causing reboot
  3. PSU isn't powerful enough causing hardware to stall

I'm not sure if i'm even having any bottlenecking but everytime i get on h1z1 after a while my PC restarts while im ingame. My question is that if i am experiencing bottlenecking and i overclocked my cpu would this problem be resolved? Also can my motherboard handle the slightest bit of Overclocking?

  • What model is the PSU?
  • Can you post temps using HW Monitor while running stress tests?
  • Does your computer restart in any other games/situations other than H1Z1?

If a game is crashing after being run for some time, the issue is not bottlenecking.

Usually this sort of problem is caused by one of two things: Overheating or power supply issues.

In both cases, overclocking will actually exacerbate the issue.
