Touching a sink before building is a good way to remove any static build up.

i have done more then 100 builds on my socks sliding on the floor, never had a single problem

 

u have a bigger chance of getting by a car then getting damage from static electricity

get some wire

wrap some around your hand

plug it in the earth

 

the shoddiest antistatic wrist band is done lol!

Yes, just plug it into the wall (Don't switch it on!) and just touch any metal part.
