we since he says he doesn't care how much it costs im thinking he wants to play games in 8k and 12k what is pretty much a dumb idea, even 8k downscaled to 4k will cause stuttering/frame drops in game just becase they are not made to run at the rez, even with dual 1080s

Everyone should own a vive.

Why you assume someone must run 1080? Why not Titan X?

Would these parts be able to run all games maxed at 8-12k? Those are some beefy specs but can it handle that resolution?

well there was a post on here a few days ago about a guy running a game at 8k and with dual 1080s and i7 6600k i think and he had issues, I personally wouldn't use a titan x to game id pick a 1080 over that

Linus got 25fps max (I believe) on 8K with Crysis 3. I assume you can scale these cards right and do some overclock then maybe yes

consider games are not made to be played at the rez there might be frame drops in some parts for some games,

but i knida highly doubt this rig or any rig capable of that will be made unless your friend is a millionair

Dont listen to the people saying to buy a 6950x. Its a waste of money, not even from a price standpoint, it will perform worse than a 6700k or 6800k with a good OC
