Looking for an RX480, but I wan't to make sure my purchase is worth while. Trying to spend as close to 200USD as I can, but I can stretch a little for the sake of value. There are lots of different cards, so what one should I go for? I don't care too much about theme but I would prefer the cooler to be a solid color, prefrably dark or white but LED lighting is cool...

Computers r fun

Can't find one for close to $200, lol. Too bad there's no GTR cooler for the 4GB 480.

In my opinion the best brand of any high end graphics card is Asus Strix. The Asus Strix 480 has 3 fans for better and quieter cooling (each fan doesn't have to work as hard) + you get Asus's GPU Tweak software which lets you easily overclock, cool, monitor, etc your GPU + it has super cool customizable LED lights which can be changed to different colors, patterns and off mode if your not into LEDs + the LEDs can be easily changed to display green to red depending on the temperature of your GPU so you can monitor your GPU temp without even opening the software.

I think that I saw an XFX RX 480 4GB with a GTR style cooler on it, but I could be wrong....

That's all he can get for $200. Still better than a 470. Most people think it's the other way around though, and 8GB 480s are not worth it. In a sense, they're right for now. There aren't many games that task the 4GB 480's VRAM, especially since it has better memory compression than GCN 3 cards.

Strix 480 has 2 fans.

Strix is never the best of anything.

Nah, 4GB 480s from XFX only come with the RS cooler.

And Titan XP is better than a 480, it doesnt matter, when price to performance takes a fall.

Why aren't they worth the money? Very few games use more than 4GB of VRAM, and if they do, the performance hit won't be that great. The RX 480 4GB is great option.

Get any RX 480 that doesn't have a reference cooler.

4GB 480 is probably the best price to performance card atm though. Aside from the 4GB 470.

BTW, I have the 8GB 480, so it's not like I'm defending something I bought. I got it because you never know what the future holds and because of scenarios like Mirror's Edge Catalyst where 4GB cards were getting hammered before they patched it.

You might be misunderstanding me. 4GB will introduce stutter when playing the AAA games, so if 8GB is not an option, the 470 is the better option of the 2 (save over 10% and still get about 95% of the performance).
