1400MHz by undervolting from the stock Clocks on the Nitro 470? WTH, Perhaps if you tried going in the opposite direction you would have hit 1500MHz by acutally adding voltage and increasing your Power Limit.

I have the Nitro+OC with 1442MHz Core Clock and 2000Mhz Memory out of the box; I am currently at a stable 1400Mhz with +48mV, a +50 Power Limit and 2250MHz on the Memory Clock.  Anything more than that and it requires a lot more voltage which (to get to 1405 I need +70mV) gets hot and I have to raise the fans which get really loud.

Looks like you may have gotten one of those lotto cards.

Well it won't go past 1380 now without crashing and I don't wanna add more voltage either... 80c at 80% fan speed is a bit too loud for me

Furmark and Kombustor is definitely the best program to use to kill your card test overclocking.

There's no graphics drivers in safe mode, so it wouldn't of been boosting or doing anything at all.

Then you do that. You can still get more out of your 470. I have a theory that a 470 is better than even a 390 when both are overclocked, but no one seems to have a 470 and is willing to overclock. You'll be my proxy. ?

Is that hard evidence, I dont know but its exactly what was clicked on right before it never came back on. Sadly that card had been a silicone winner....
