USPS Issues

Not sure if anyone can help me out here. So I ordered a package on the 6th but it shipped the 11th (I plan on giving the seller a bad review since it took way to long for business days). So it shipped via USPS and was supposed to arrive on Tuesday according to USPS. It is now Thursday with no package. Thoughts on what happened? Also does anyone know if my post office will be able to help me? Or will I have to call?

During the holidays usps is going to be swamped with orders. 9 times out of 10, if you order around this time it will come late.

Do you know if I am able to go to the post office and ask them if they can tell me when it will be here? Also it surprises me because I ordered something from Amazon a day after I ordered everything else and it arrived here through USPS on Tuesday

Yes you can.

you would need information regarding the shipment for them to do it though, like a tracking number or an invoice from where the seller paid the postage.

If for some reason the package is being held at a facility local to you you'll also have the ability to go to said facility and pick it up.

If it doesn't have tracking, the USPS has no better idea where it is than you do.

Also, yes, it'd the holidays, the USPS is inundated with parcels so sit tight. As for Amazon, Amazon has negotiated specific contracts with the USPS and other postal service's which allows them more direct access to their networks.
