I got all my parts for my computer and have everything in the case, and I'm waiting on a case fan splitter cable to finish it. If I ever decide to play use crossfire on my PC with my rx 480 4GB, I won't have another pci-e slot for the 2nd gpu. I also have 1 sys_fan 4 pin connector on my Gigabyte GA-H110M-A mobo (reason for the fan splitter cable). One other problem i might have if I upgrade to an ATX mobo is that I had problems having all of the stand-offs on the case for the motherboard. I had to take some stand-offs off of the case that work for an ATX. I also didn't have enough screws for the motherboard installing, which I found odd. So, should I upgrade to an ATX and get the extra features, and should I do it now before I install the OS? I've heard that if you install the OS, the OS stays on that motherboard and you can't transfer it.

To say that I completely understood what your post is about would be a lie, but I don't see the need to upgrade the motherboard just because your case came with extra stand-offs. Its normal if you're installing a mATX mobo into an ATX case. But if you want the option to cross-fire in the future, then I'd upgrade the mobo before installing the OS.

However, if you decide to upgrade the mobo later, calling microsoft should reactivate you windows license on the new motherboard.

IF you decide to crossfire, then upgrade your mobo. Otherwise, keep the one you've got since the extra PCI slot is the only real improvement you will get.

Also, instead of going the CF route, just get a better single GPU and use the money you would have spent on the mobo for that.

When in doubt, re-format.

it still doesn't like it very well, its glitchy as hell with a pretty significant possibility that you have to completely reinstall windows.
