What are people's thoughts on this bundle or that it appears on the Radeon blog?  I hope this cooperation between AMD and Intel won't cool off the competition in 2017.

First rumors of Radeon IP going into Intel CPUs in the future (Is AMD Licensing Radeon Graphics To Intel?)

 and now a cooperative bundle.

Thinking back, I remember other stores were offering similar free games.  I.E.  Buy a RX480 and get DOOM.  Buy and Intel processor and get Civ VI.  It seems newegg is just promoting them together

Intel IGPs are actually very potent and while they have the best performance/shader/clock they dont come with many shaders/cores either. They are very good at performing other non gaming tasks such as dealing with OS and browser GPU accelerations, encoding/streaming and other minor tasks while a dedicated GPU can be fully engaged with a game for instance saving some vram in the process too.

Its a good bundle but AMD drivers still suck and make booting much longer. AMD GPUs arent as independent as nvidia GPUs so they benefit from having a faster CPU.

Stuck in the past huh

Still happens to me on recent AMD drivers. I leave my PC on, turn off monitors, go off, come back and theres no display. In order to get a display i have to put the PC to sleep and wake it up or reboot it, both of which reboots the GPU.

I also have other issues with the GPU such as a significant performance hit when i stream using GPU encoding. Dirt 3 runs fine normally but when i stream it it gets very laggy when i use GPU encoding.
