So recently I upgraded my old PC's (Released late 2014) GPU and CPU (AMD FX 6300). With a new CPU I decided to also upgrade my stock CPU cooler to the Cooler master EVO 212 without doing proper research on its dimensions. Any ways long story short i got the cooler installed it, works like a dream. when i placed it all back in the case i knew "this ain't gonna close". So i decided to cut out my case cover to fit around the cooler. Im pretty satisfied with the way this came out how ever i think it can definitely be improved upon. Any suggestions?

That looks quite good actually, the tape blends well with the case.

xD all I can think about is all that dust that is going to be sucked in there...

As for suggestions, maybe get a different case and put your parts in there?

If you have a hardware store near you, I'd get some acrylic panels and try DIYing a shroud.

As far as cases can you get an ATX schematic and see if your board has standoffs in the same locations?

But they can about dust...just an open hole sitting there...

Gotta love rotary tools (yes I am assuming the tool you used), you can cut metal (with a reinforced cutting wheel just to be safe), wood, ceramics ect. plus you can engrave with em, drill holes, sand and there's other stuff you can do with one...they are the real powered multi tool :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

If you could add a filtered intake fan or two you should have enough positive pressure that it won't be too much of a problem.

if it's just a temporary build, I wouldn't put so much effort in it, just get a pantyhose from a female in your life and put a part as a dust filter over it ;)

Or put the "big boy" pants on, go to the store, and buy them like you should other things.

yeah i was thinking about a car "intake" system lol

As linked above something like that hood scoop would work if you wanted to make something you can use styrene sheets and cut/glue them into shape and paint them to match. It's a fairly easy material to work with and mod.
