Case Switches into motherboard

Kiritium

So I have this problem that my case uses a 3 pin power switch to plug into the motherboard but my motherboard doesn't seem to support a 3 pin power switch? Below is a picture of my motherboard switch layout. I placed the 2 pin reset switch in 6 and 8 while the 3 pin power switch into 5,7 and 9. Right now, my power switch doesn't work and my reset switch is my power on/off way to turn on the computer. I was wondering why 5,7 and 9 will not work?

You need to short those 2 pins. Pin 9 isn't connected to anything.

If you have a small flat head screw driver, you can easily move the connectors int the pin blocks.

How can I do that? I can't find any youtube videos on it.

There is a little piece of metal you can push on the connnector and the pin comes out.
