That i5 would be much faster than a 8350 in games.

just wanna note: "amd build"

it's not the right time unless you go second hand unfortunately. amd's processors are ancient, and REALLY not worth the dough you're putting into them. if you calculate in the cheaper mobo and cooling solution (stock cooler even) you can get away with on intel side, it's honestly to the point that they're not only the better solution but also cheaper.

i've had an i7 4770 run off a mobo with a single choke for the cpu for several years straight, i dont wanna know what'd happen with an FX8350 in such a situation...

If that is what you're wondering, then you probably shouldn't be building your friend a PC imo...

thing is, it doesnt matter how long you have been doing something.

if a mechanical engineer had to ask if he could fit an M6 bolt trough an M5 mounting hole i'd go elsewhere to have my car fixed.

the sizes of the vareous motherboards is only a quick google anway, and it's quite obvious that a mobo with 4 expansion slots isnt meant to fit in a case with two expansion slots isnt it? :/

i mean, i'm not trying to personally attack your or insult your intelligence, but there's some vital things to know before it's a good idea to even consider doing work like this for someone else.
