CPU battle. (Graphics Battle :D)

Which is better mainly in Graphics sense?

 

AMD 7th Gen A9-9410 APU dual core processor. 

vs 

 

Intel i5-6200U

 

 

 

Which would you guys do?

Go for a laptop with improved GPU clock speed but with a lower resolution with 1366 x 768

Or

A laptop with a reduced clock speed but with higher performance otherwise and with full HD 1920x1080

A9 is way too new to discuss. Funny enough I can not find any info of that yet

Mainly linux tasks and very mild gaming, CSGO.

That was my problem, I tried using it for this website called Game-Debate there was no information on it. The website shows real life benchmarks for Integrated Graphics on CSGO which i used on the i5. It wasn't great but said it was just above the 60fps mark. I couldn't test the A9 because it wasn't there. The specs say that the A9 is better but it's not always down to raw Clock Speed, there are other factors to consider - thus justifying my post on here.

AMD's new APUs coming out are made for those kind of tasks. So I think you'd be good to go with it. 

Just wont play really graphical games, but games like dota, lol, sc2, csgo, (mainly e-sports) etc are completely fine

Game debate is not a good site to compare stuff. So does gpuboss or cpuboss. userbenchmark is more accurate.

Then the A9 is going to be designed for some light gaming and multitasking especially if you are using Linux you will get very good performance

Okay dokay, I'm pretty sure I am going to go with the A9 now. I don't need fancy graphics so the 1920x1080 isn't needed. The A9 is about $70 cheaper than the other listed laptops.

Look up how i5 does in game. Notebookcheck is a nice site to give an estimate how its gpu does. If it works great and you are satisfied with the result then go for it.
