Yes, you can do a bios flash on your gpu, but it is not the same as a driver update. If you do it wrong, you will break your card.

Yes, the GPU has a firmware which is required for it to run.  This, if it is ever updated, is usually done by sending it back to the manufacture or it is done by a desktop exe that the manufacture publishes.

Yes, you can flash a different/newer bios for your GPU just like your motherboard. Start looking first at the GPU manufacturer's site but if none is available TechPowerUp has a VGA BIOS Collection here : https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/
