Idk how adorable you can make a computer but you should probably custom make a case for your NAS if you want it to look super cute.

If you just want a nas, this is cheaper, smaller, and much lower power. https://www.amazon.com/Synology-Station-Diskless-Attached-DS416j/dp/B019ZUR5WQ

Not really. She me a full built for 140.

Also that will use much less power, and will just work

This is 162 but prices fluctuate a lot. I built the same thing for $135.

You also don't have a boot drive, and this system pulls much more power. That case can also only hold 3 3.5 drives instead of 4.

For less than $150 new? You are out of your mind. - was my initial thought but I said why not, lets give it a whirl.

$59 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0ZX4UV6328 Cheapest board+cpu I know of

$23 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820156044 4gb of RAM

$19 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353050 Case

$29 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1UH4RG3309 Power supply

Honestly picked just about the cheapest I could, and I'm at $131.. I don't exactly feel confident with these choices. Guess you could add a 8gb flash drive for $5 as a boot drive.

He never said how many bays are neded.

Anyway heres one with a 6 drive IXT case

For boot scavenge an old laptop drive or boot from a usb stick.

And The bulk of power draw will always be the disks in any nas solution, unless you go ssd
