No Budget Best Headphones

I need to get a new set of headphones as my dog decided to chew through the wires on my Vengeance 1500. I want headphones that are comfortable when wearing for long periods of gaming and that have very good sound quality for every kind of music but a little bass heavy. Any ideas no budget but obviously don't go over the top.

get the modded Fostex from mayflower, @ShearMe says that they are basically $230 closed HD 650

then add a decent amp to power it

Why not get the headphones that do the stuff?
M100's are a solid option, and you can get an E10 and flip that bass eq switch like its a switch.

Objectively "best" headphones don't exist because sound and fit are preferences. There are a ton of options for you for $400 though.

if so, totally go for the HD 600/650, fostex is still a good option as they are orthodynamic headphones that can provide good bass and treble
