Posted December 1, 2016 Hey guys! I was looking at this ram called Mushkin Radioactive (pic), and thought it would be great for my theme build. The problem is, it only comes in DDR3. Is there anything similar to it in ddr4, or is there a way to replace the heat cover and place it on another stick?
 Posted December 1, 2016 They're called heat spreaders and they were quite popular back in the DDR3 days. I have not seen one in a while. its just a piece of aluminium with that silicon thermal stuff & held on with a clip. I do not see why you could not transfer them to new RAM. ☼ ψ ︿_____︿_ψ_
Posted December 1, 2016 They should fit ddr4 ram fine, I'd get a cheap stick and test it if you were gonna try.
