Should I get the EVGA  Z170 FTW or the MSI Z170 Gaming Pro carbon? It will be housing a i5-6600K

Here I come recommending people not to spend too much on a mobo and get a cheap ASRock or spend too much on a Gigabyte Z170X UD3 Ultra or Gigabyte Z170X Designaire

But honestly, any that looks best to you

There are only 4 LGA 1151 motherboards without front-panel USB 3.0 headers, and none of them is a Z170 motherboard

And so does the MSI Z170 Gaming Pro. You're just repeating my point. You listed 'Front panel USB' as a deciding criteria. My post was in reply to yours. That's why I quoted you. It was to illustrate that front-panel USB 3.0 is so ubiquitous that it cannot be used as a deciding factor between two motherboards. As a matter of fact, front-panel USB 3.0 has been ubiquitous on high-end motherboards (Z) since Ivy Bridge, and that was five years ago.

That's like saying you need to decide between two restaurants based on which one serves food.

I didn't say that front panel usb is the only deciding factor. Go back and read my original post. If thats all i said then your argument would be valid. My post summed up is telling him to choose whichever one is better for him.

I read your original post. That's why I replied to it. I/O is a good point. Good for you for including fan headers, even though both boards probably have either four or five besides the CPU fan.

Perhaps you should read my posts better. I don't care that Front-Panel USB 3.0 isn't the only deciding factor you mentioned. My argument is valid because you mentioned it at all. It's a terrible deciding factor because only 4 LGA1151 motherboards don't have it and there are no high-end boards since z75 that don't have it. Furthermore, your reply to my post was that 'The EVGA board has Front Pannel USB 3.0', which shows that you cannot understand my point. Once again, my point is that front-panel usb 3.0 is a terrible deciding factor because pretty much every motherboard (details above) has it.

Your post summed up absolutely nothing besides the aforementioned. Here it is.

Rear I/O, yes. Fan connectors? A debatable 'yes'. Front Panel USB (I assume you mean 3.0, because anything else would be pretty ridiculous)? Absolutely not.
