i7 or GTX780

I have a choice between getting a i5 and having a GTX780 or getting an i7 and having a 770, what shall I get?

 

I am being told to buy and cheaper card now and then get a 880 or something what should I do?

This is my build so far: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1UlKO How can I make it cheaper without sacrificing much performance?

Unless you have a use for extra threads, go for the 780 IMO .

What are you going to be doing? If you're only going to be gaming, you should not even bother getting an i7. Most games done use Hyper-Threading, so it might be a waste spending extra money on something you're not going to be using most of the time.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Depends what you're doing, for a gaming build you should be focusing your money on the GPU. So definitely i5 + 780. A 290x with an aftermarket cooler might also be a nice option for you.

780 with the i5

The 780 is dropping in price now/tomorrow, so you could maybe even get the i7 with an 780. its a 150$ price drop, but retailers will take advantage off this very likely. So have to wait a little to see how the prices turn out to be.

I would go for the EVGA.
