I agree that possibly 16GB would be best. But by your post you make it sound like anyone who uses 8GB of RAM could ONLY do those low usage things, LOL.

As a whole, the general PC user has gotten along fine and possibly still does with just 8GB. What are you intending to do on the PC OP?

and whats the difference between an ssd and a hard drive?
