Spoiled as shit? Most 12 year olds can't cook.

I was working at 11 and also had to look after myself as both of my parents worked late; one of the more trivial components of which included cooking for myself.

If you feel you're not getting enough food then contact a teacher, guidance counselor, doctor, police officer, or some adult you trust to help you. At the very least talk to a doctor or nurse about your diet to confirm whether or not you're receiving enough food. For all you know your parents may have an eating disorder they are pushing onto you or don't have enough money to buy the proper amount of food to feed everybody so getting another adult involved could help you and your family out a lot. While a lot of the people on this forum are smart and helpful, there is so little we can do online and I never recommend giving out personal information to strangers so even if somebody here can help you they'd need personal info which can have negative consequences.

FFS, make yourself a PBJ sandwich if you are still hungry, or a bowl of cereal.

No, I don't care that it isn't the healthiest thing out there, I am not asking you to stuff your face with 20 of 'em.

First world problems... When I was 12 yo, I used to prepare my own meals. Not the dinner itself, but when I was hungry after eating it, I was able to make a sandwich or toast with some cheese and vegetables. It really is not THAT difficult. My parents didn't have time to prepare mi sandwiches or some other snack every time I was hungry. Think about it :) And believe me, sandwiches and other simple snacks are not difficult to prepare, can be really tasty and healthy and you are getting some skills that will be really useful in the future ;)

It's fine.. Every once in a while that's just what happens. Also, eating more isn't gonna suddenly make you big. As a kid I was chunky, yet I ate less than my brother who was skinny AF. He was like constantly eating, we called him "the bottomless pit".

Also, if you're still hungry after eating, why don't you tell your parents instead of making a post about it on a forum? Speak up. Or like others said, make a PB sandwich or something..

Exactly! At 12 you're more than capable of preparing food.

He cant make his own food. Nor can he open a bag of bread to just eat bread or a bun.

There is a problem with his parents. Perhaps religious fanatics is my best guess.

i doubt it since it requires to open the cap off the container. or open a door to grab a glass and turn the water spout on. i am telling you these religious fanatics can be outright crazy. recently some granola tree huggers had their child die because they wouldnt go to a doctor or give the child life saving drugs for a simple problem. they got off easy because they had many other children plus it was in the news.

but i am making assumptions on what is most likely is a moot subject. which brings me back to my point of why did the op take a picture of his food before eating it at the kitchen table. makes me wonder if this is all true or not. again assumptions.

I have a lot of food items in my house, but they all need some sort of cooking experience if you want to cook them.

But you guys are missing my main question

My religion has no relevance with food whatsoever, since I am Christian. Based on my knowledge, I don't think there's some sort of  Christian rule with food. If there is, acknowledge me please.

Spoiler

Your weight depends on your height, gender and your body type. I am 1.77 meters tall and used to weight 50 kg even though I ate a lot. That's considered to be underweight. Now I go to the gym and weight 65 kg which is considered normal.

The only way I would agree with you about your parents being irresponsible is if you asked for more food and they deny it to you.

My suspicions were right. But thats neither here nor there. I just look at the extremes because thats all thats reported.

If you ask for more food and you get denied, there is a problem. But I think theres a problem in you not making/opening your own simple food items.

There are lots of healthy frozen food choices in the supermarket.

What about bread? You can buy some bread to have around as a filler food; it has carbohydrates (energy) and is fairly healty.

No, I don't mean the white bread or toast bread garbage that everyone eats. I'm talking about some whole grain stuff, it not only tastes nice and is nutritious, but also goes well with pretty much any other food.

Answering the question: it is only irresponsible if you actively ask them for more food and they refused to give you any. If so, then yes, they are. If on the other hand you don't say a word and they don't know that you are still hungry, then it would be your own fault.

Nobody here can answer your question without knowing more about you, your family, and your situation. I gave you the best answer anybody on this forum can give you and you're ignoring it meaning you're either doing this for attention or you want somebody to give you bad advice to confirm your own bias. Please seek help from an adult in the real world who can both answer your question and assist you (if needed).
